hrcsas get involvedTrustee's Wanted Hull Rape Crisis and Sexual Abuse Service are currently looking for trustees to work with us on a voluntary basis to support, develop and promote the service we provide to women in the local area. The role of a trustee is varied, and would include responsibilities such as to help in key decision making, attend regular board meetings, support the staff and counsellors, contribute towards events and fundraising, and maintain high standards in all areas.
We are looking for women who are able to give a minimum of an hour a week. Whilst experience of work within a relevant sector would be seen as beneficial, it is not a requirement. We are a diverse team of women, so are looking for people with a wide range of skills, including:
  • Creative thinking
  • Organisational skills
  • Ending rape and sexual violence.
  • Organisational skills
  • Understanding of finances
  • Experience of bid-writing and funding
  • Support or supervision skills
  • Teaching, training or presentation skills
  • Events planning and management
A full induction will be given for successful applicants, and an enhanced DBS check undertaken.
